David Howlett - Alexander TechniqueDAVID HOWLETT is an arts graduate who trained and worked as a solicitor before completing the three year full-time training to teach the Alexander Technique in 1986. He worked in private practice in London for twelve years and taught regularly at the BBC and on courses in Greece. In 1998 he moved to Lyme Regis with his family and now practises in Dorset and Devon. David is a member of the Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique.
The Alexander Technique can help many conditions, such as back pain, neck and shoulder tension, RSI, breathing disorders, stress related illnesses and general fatigue where misuse and excess tension are contributory factors. The Alexander Technique is a way of using oneself better in everyday life. With increasing awareness we begin to notice habitual patterns of tension. The Technique helps us to undo and prevent those habits which so often lead to aches and pains and a lowered standard of mental and physical functioning.
